About the Company:

Panelto Foods is an Irish Food company based in Longford and established in 2004. Panelto produces a range of high quality contemporary sandwich breads for the UK and Irish and food service markets, from a highly automated world class bakery. Panelto has recently experienced a successful major expansion, doubling the size of the existing factory and workforce. 

About the Role:

Working as part of the Supply Chain team you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedules for all production areas within the factory. 

Reporting to:

  • Customer Service and Planning Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create production plans and schedules to maintain stock targets and fulfil customer demands on a weekly basis

  • Circulate Production plan on a daily basis

  • Ensure a 4-week production plan is in place to facilitate MRP

  • Where weekly orders exceed forecast determine ability to supply and change plans accordingly

  • Responsible for communication on plans and plan changes to relevant departments

  • Work with customer service/logistics department to prioritise products as required

  • Work with the production manager to limit changeovers

  • Lead and participate in weekly production planning meetings

  • Manage inventory within agreed levels

  • Ensure files are up to date, and reconcile stocks on a weekly basis

  • Ensure all master data items are correct

  • Update files with a new forecast monthly

  • Work with Commercial and NPD teams for new launches and delists 

  • Work with CSPM and MRP to understand longer term demand requirements to ensure raw material plans can support business plan

Key Experience & Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Suite is essential, in particular Microsoft Excel

  • Previous exposure to Production Planning, at an Academic or Practical level

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required to communicate with internal/external stakeholders

  • Ability to work on own initiative 

  • Ability to identify and actively plan improvements agendas

  • Role is important in keeping the Company service levels high

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
