About the Company:
Panelto Foods is an Irish Food company based in Longford and established in 2004. Panelto produces a range of high quality contemporary sandwich breads for the UK and Irish and food service markets, from a highly automated world class bakery. Panelto has recently experienced a successful major expansion, doubling the size of the existing factory and workforce. Due to this expansion we are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead a production team.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to manage the day to day running of the shift through a number of production operators, delivering an operation that excels across the bread production process and delivers a level of operating efficiency that is best in class. To ensure adherence to and a desire to strive beyond defined standards in the following areas, Quality, Health & Safety, Process Management, GMP, and People Management.
Responsibilities and Objectives:

Evaluating, planning and implementing improvements in processes and practices on a daily basis.

Provide leadership to all production staff especially on evening and night shift, where the most senior person in the operation could be the production shift supervisor.

Taking an active part in day to day problem solving on the process and in more focussed process improvement projects.

Being a leader in the Continuous Improvement ambitions of the operation and encouraging this continuous improvement culture with all staff on the shift.

Technical Attributes:
-
Third level qualification in a food science / engineering or related discipline.

Demonstrable experience in manufacturing management.

Demonstrable experience in the area of people management.

Some experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.

Some experience of scaling new products from development to full scale production.
-
Ability to analyse market trends, develop market insights and create resulting business strategy.
-
Demonstrated successful project planning and implementation.
