The Team Leader job requires the individual to be available to 12 hour rotation shifts over a two week shift pattern. You will be working in a fast paced production environment with responsibility for the following:

  • Oversee and manage a cell of people as part of the overall shift within the production process in conjunction with Supervisor

  • Ensure bread production lines are set up for product cycle

  • Complete production records

  • Delegate work to staff on the line and ensure smooth operation of line

  • Participate and lead as requested in shift handovers briefings

  • Assist with problem solving & route cause analysis

  • Identify and assist in resolving specific issues causing downtime

  • Train new staff on the line

  • Back up to Production Supervisor as required

  • Monitor efficiency and yield

  • Report any issues to management

  • Ensure staff are following the correct hygiene and quality standards

  • Cleaning of the line

  • Ensure H&S standards are followed at all times

Key Experience & Skills:

  • 2 to 3 years minimum experience in a similar role within the Food/FMCG Industry

  • Third level qualification in a food science or related discipline would be an advantage

  • Proven technical knowledge of working in a similar role within a production/packaging function

  • Some experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing would be an advantage

  • Knowledge of Quality and H&S standards

  • Excellent communication skills

  • 12 Hours Shifts in a 24/7 operation rotating from days to nights every other week – (6am to 6pm - 6pm to 6am)

  • Flexibility required
