The Category Executive will support and co-ordinate core business category projects from feasibility to implementation. They will work cross functionally to plan and execute the category management projects with key customers. 


  • Support the implementation of the category strategy through identification of trends, data analysis & focusing on achieving aligned goals such as space, range, visibility & distribution across our key customers in Ireland and the UK

  • Build & manage relationships with key retailers through managing day to day communication, sharing quarterly category updates and leading the range review process, including planograms

  • Working with the commercial team, have a clear understanding of the key account objectives and support the team to develop long term sustainable relations with an agenda focused on insight lead product and category innovation 

  • Support the field sales team deliver core range objectives through the development of a category management toolkit

  • Monitor and report regularly on category performance & trends across markets and retailers, competitor activity, consumer and customer needs – deliver actionable insights

  • Understand the macro environment and drive action based on your insights - be the voice of the category, shopper & consumer in Panelto, remaining category objective at all times


Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in category/ marketing roles in FMCG – A disruptor and someone who likes to challenge the status Quo and do it differently

  • Graduate with degree/masters in a business, marketing or a related discipline

  • Strong time management capabilities - ability to work agile, on your own initiative and to strict deadlines

  • Strategic & Analytical thinker – with a keen interest in data interpretation & delivering actionable insights

  • A detailed understanding of the FMCG environment and experience of dealing with key retailers category initiatives

  • A demonstrated ability to support cross functional teams to deliver brand or category development projects

  • Good communicator, strong presentation skills, someone who enjoys operating in an entrepreneurial fast paced environment.

  • Independently minded and confident to influence at senior management levels. A self-starter who likes to challenge themselves and those around them

  • Experience working with data platforms such as Kantar, IRI, Nielsen & Dunnhumby
